2. What JIAA is
JIAA is a macOS application that helps users prepare for and participate in technical interviews by transcribing audio locally, organizing user-provided materials, and sending text prompts and user-selected attachments to Anthropic to generate responses.
3. Eligibility and account requirements
You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use JIAA. You are responsible for maintaining access to your email inbox, your license key, and your own Anthropic API key.
4. License and permitted use
Subject to these terms and payment of applicable fees, Convenic grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use JIAA for your personal or internal professional use on the number of devices allowed by your purchase.
You may not copy, resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, distribute, or use JIAA in violation of applicable law or the terms of any third-party platform or service you use with it.
5. Payments, subscriptions, and billing
Subscriptions for JIAA are sold through Lemon Squeezy. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to pay the fees shown at checkout and any applicable taxes.
For billing and checkout purposes, Lemon Squeezy may act as merchant of record or reseller for the transaction. As a result, Lemon Squeezy may appear on checkout pages, invoices, receipts, or card statements and may handle billing-related processing for the order.
Unless stated otherwise at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can manage or cancel your subscription through the Lemon Squeezy order management tools or by contacting support.
JIAA is a digital product with immediate access. If you choose immediate activation, access, or license delivery, you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that any applicable statutory withdrawal right may end once the digital service begins or the digital content is made available, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Use of Anthropic's API is separate from your JIAA subscription. You are responsible for charges billed directly by Anthropic on your own API account.
6. Refunds
Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
7. Complaints and lack of conformity
If you believe JIAA is not working as agreed or does not conform to the contract, please contact support@jiaa.codes and describe the issue in reasonable detail. We may ask for device information, screenshots, reproduction steps, or other information needed to investigate the problem.
Where required by applicable consumer law, we will first seek to bring the digital service into conformity within a reasonable time. If that is not possible or not successful, you may have further remedies available under applicable law, including a price reduction or termination of the contract.
8. Third-party services
JIAA relies on third-party services and components, including Lemon Squeezy for billing, Anthropic for AI responses, and local components such as Whisper and BlackHole for functionality on your device. Those third parties may have their own terms and privacy practices, and you are responsible for complying with them where applicable.
9. User content and responsibilities
You are responsible for the text, screenshots, PDFs, code, prompts, and other materials you submit through JIAA. You represent that you have the necessary rights to use that content and to send it to third-party services selected by you.
You are also responsible for how you use generated output. JIAA is provided as a software tool, and you remain solely responsible for decisions, statements, and actions taken based on the app's output.
10. Availability and changes
Convenic may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue all or part of JIAA at any time. We will try to avoid material disruption, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
JIAA is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. Convenic disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Convenic will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity arising out of or related to your use of JIAA.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Convenic's total liability for claims arising out of or relating to JIAA will not exceed the amount you paid for JIAA during the twelve months preceding the claim.
13. Termination
You may stop using JIAA at any time. Convenic may suspend or terminate access to JIAA if you materially breach these terms, misuse the service, or where continued access would create legal or security risk.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
